MCPS has partnered with Girls With Impact, an organization that works to empower young women with business and leadership skills. This collaboration aims to provide young women with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive in the workforce and beyond.

As part of this partnership, Girls With Impact is offering its innovative entrepreneurship program to students at MCPS. This program, designed specifically for young women ages 14-24, focuses on building critical business and leadership skills through a hands-on curriculum.

“Montgomery County Public Schools is excited to bring this free Business and Leadership program to MCPS girls and gender expansive youth in Grades 9-12 and equipping them with the skills, knowledge and confidence to become entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders,” said Elaine Chang, Department of Partnerships Director. “MCPS students have this unique opportunity to work with trained master’s in business administration coaches who provide the resources needed to get them from ideation to the launch of their venture ideas.”

"We are excited to partner with MCPS to educate the next generation of women leaders," said Jennifer Openshaw, CEO of Girls With Impact. "Our program equips young women with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in today's competitive landscape."

This partnership is providing students in high school with access to Girls With Impact's comprehensive curriculum, which covers topics such as business planning, marketing, financial literacy, and more.

The partnership between Girls With Impact and Montgomery County Public Schools represents a commitment to enabling young women to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. Through this collaboration, both organizations hope to inspire and support the next generation of young women everywhere.
